Caister Castle Car collection near Caister Great Yarmouth contains probably the largest private collection of motor vehicles in Great Britain from 1893 to the present time, including the first real motor car in the world with full history - 1893 Panhard et Levassor, housed in the same coach house in Florence since new until 1980.

See Jim Clark's Grand Prix R14, Peter Rachman's Cadillac and the very first Ford Fiesta.
Featured in the BBC's television series, 'The History of Britain,' the moated castle with 100ft tower was built in 1432 on the site of an earlier fortified manor house where Sir John Falstoff was born. Margaret, wife of Falstaff's heir, John Paston, was the focal point of the famous Paston letters now in the British Museum.

Scratby Beach is located 2 mins away from the caravan and is a wide curving, ochre-coloured, quiet sand and shingle beach found at the base of low sand cliffs.

A row of large boulders are positioned towards the back of the beach to prevent erosion of the high sand dunes which have virtually become cliffs at this point.

Perfect for long walks with the dog or without from autumn to spring or for long lazy days in summer.

Walk northwards along the cliff top and enjoy wonderful panoramic views across the sea coming back to the beach via one of the several pathways.

Scratby beach also offers some good surfing opportunities which are better during the winter months and when the wind is in a westerly direction. When surfing conditions are good Scratby beach can attract a substantial crowd.

Access to the beach is via slope and steps
